Your First Visit

We hope that visiting FBC is a positive experience for you!

If you plan to arrive on Sunday morning, here are some tips.

  1. Check out our usual schedule.

    9:00 AM to 10:15 AM ("First Hour")
        First Worship Service.
        Sunday School for preschoolers, kids, teens, and adults.
        Nursery for infants and toddlers.

    10:15 AM to 10:45 AM
        Break - consider visiting the Info Center in the Lobby.
        Each Third Sunday: Reception in Family Room (near Lobby).
        Classes for preschoolers and kids thru Grade 4.
        Nursery for infants and toddlers.

    10:45 AM to Noon ("Second Hour")
        Second Worship Service.
        Sunday School for adults.
        Sunday School for individuals with special needs.
        Classes for preschoolers and kids thru Grade 4.
        Kids choir rehearsal (grades 1 thru 6) - during the school year.
        Nursery for infants and toddlers.

  2. Please arrive a few minutes early.

    Greeters will welcome you at the door.

    Hosts will help you find your way within our building. They are the people wearing white carnations and nametags.

  3. Your little ones will be well cared for.

    We offer nurseries for infants and toddlers, and teaching for kids in Kindergarten through Grade 4, throughout each Sunday morning.

    We offer teaching for kids in Grades 5 & 6 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM. Please tell the nursery or class leader about your child's allergies or other special situations.

    We are working to ensure a safe and secure environment. Please review our Child Safety Policy, which is supplemented by other ministry policies.

  4. Do you have special needs?

    Please call ahead if you have questions or special requirements.

    Hearing assist devices are available at the Info Center in the Lobby.

    The building is handicap accessible.

    A wheelchair is available for use in the building.

  5. Prepare for worship.

    Our focus is on the Lord. Please browse a recent Order of Worship.

    You may dress formally or casually.

    We use a blend of traditional and contemporary music, with a variety of instruments accompanying our singing, such as piano, keyboard, guitar, harp, brass and woodwinds.

  6. Sunday School isn't just for kids!

    It's a great time to meet people and to get good teaching.

    Junior & Senior High meet from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM.

    We offer a variety of adult classes, most at 9:00 AM. View page 4 of the Announcements to see a list of current classes.

Look at the rest of a typical week.

 Sunday evening:

    Junior & Senior High activities (some are off-site).
    Small groups (most meet in homes; some on other nights).

 Tuesday morning:

    Prayer group.

 Tuesday evening:

    Volleyball - during the school year.

 Wednesday morning:

    Women's Bible studies.

 Wednesday evening:

    Prayer group.
    Nursery.
    Christian Service Brigade (boys) - during the school year.
    Pioneer Girls - during the school year.
    Basketball - during the school year.

 Thursday evening:

    Women's Bible study.

Plus various monthly or seasonal activities.
